DEi provided structural engineering services to the prime consultant, Allan Avis Architects, for the design of this award-winning facility containing a high efficiency brew house, bar, restaurant and retail/office space. Structural challenges included the design of the slab supporting 50 hectolitres of brewing and storage tanks, marrying heavy timber framing with timber shear walls and connections limiting cold-bridging. From concept to preliminary to final design and construction, DEi provided total structural design and site review services for this project (AAA)
